Engagement Ring Settings

There are many different engagement ring settings to accent your centre diamond. Although it may seem that the centre diamond is most important, your choice of engagement ring setting can greatly enhance the way the engagement ring and its centre stone look. The setting is sometimes also known as the “shank”.

While styles and settings are often used interchangeably, they are not the same. Style refers to the subjective element and the overall look and feel of the ring while an engagement ring setting secures the stones, making the ring structurally sound.

Micropavé, channel and French settings are recommended engagement ring settings for pavé and halo style rings. While claw, bezel, cathedral and tension are recommended engagement ring settings for solitaire, halo and trilogy styles. Take a look at our guide to engagement ring settings to gain a further insight into what each setting looks like and which styles these settings work best with.
